Treasure of My Own, Pokemon Scarlet: Chapter 12
“Wren.” I heard Riley’s voice calling out my name.
“Wren.” They called again.
“Wren! Wake up.” They shook me.
“Gah!” I fell off of Koraidon’s back.
“Good… you’re awake. And alive.” Riley smiled. “I’m… glad.”
“I… am too. Oof.” I got up and brushed off the dirt that managed to cling to my outfit.
I stretched and turned to face the sleeping Koraidon. I grabbed my bag from its back and Rose, who had woken up before me, scrambled back onto the bag after I had put it on. I made sure I had all my Pokémon’s Poké Balls and turned back to Riley.
“Should we head out once Koraidon wakes up?” I asked.
“Sure... I don’t mind… I also… made breakfast while… you were asleep.” They said sheepishly.
“Oh, you didn’t have to, Riley!” I told her.
“I wanted… to repay you for being so nice to me.” The wine-red haired teen said.
“I get that. Thank you, though.” I smiled.
“N.. no problem, Wren.” Riley chuckled.
. . .
Some time had passed since I was woken up and Koraidon was now as active as ever.
