Jedi: Last Vestiges - 8. Footprints on the Sea Bed
With a rush of sand blooming from beneath his feet, Cal landed upon the sea’s floor. The dirty yellow pressure suit he wore settled down upon the shoulders of the surrounding exo-skeletal frame that prevented the weight of the suit from crushing him. The forward faceplate, thick though it was, allowed a good view of the ocean as well as the enormous mass of Home One above.
In strong comparison, next to him flounced Renneck, the amphibian dressed in a far lighter garb that consisted mainly of armoured eye-glasses and a breathing tube that made it easier for him to exhale against the weight of the water.
This tube tied into a comm unit with which he and Cal would be able to talk.
“All good?”
“Okay,” Renneck said. “Forgot what this pressure felt like.”
“I notice you guys use personal shields to offset some of that,” he pointed at the energy belt around the amphibian’s waist. “Do you reckon Rilsh tracked that?”
“Energy output is tiny, but I suppose it’s possible. How is your droid?”
“B-D?
