Her words ring a bit hollow to you, considering she’s not the one who’s actually being digested. You’d happily take being in her position, only having to deal with a slightly squirming weight in her gut for a bit too long. As it is, you’re inside her gut, struggling ineffectively against the stomach walls and whining as stinging acid sloshes around you, trying to melt your body down into slop for your captor’s benefit.

It was like a two-ton weight had been lifted from Rory's shoulders. Even with the lingering spasms from their flare-up, they felt so much better emotionally that the physical discomfort was actually bearable, for once.
