Here we are in the future!

Been sitting on this idea for a while.  Also trying to draw Onyx smiling was super weird.  Also gave him a more moderns style for his newest form.

Not sure if this is surprising to some folks, but Onyx's one true love has always been Freckles.  Whatever he and CG Pearl had was unhealthy, codependent, and rebound feelings for the one they lost.  Also, so much of CG Pearl's character arc was about her getting over Pink/Rose and becoming her own gem, so it felt contradictory to force her into another relationship.

So once the Diamonds got together to restore the corrupted gems, Onyx and Freckles were finally reunited.
