Starfolk are an unusual species that are born from the wishes of a human resonating with a star somewhere out in the cosmos; no matter how "small" or "insignificant" that wish may be, so long as it is made sincerely, it is enough to give life to a Starfolk. A fragment of the star will break away, which will become the "heart" of the newborn Starfolk, nestled deep in their chest.

They can be found all across the cosmos, as far as the stars reach. However, they do tend to gravitate towards places where humans live. Unfortunately, in comparison to humans, their lifespans are much longer; the average Starfolk will live for hundreds of years. When they do reach the end of their life, however, the star fragment in their chest will grow dimmer and dimmer before dying entirely. Shortly after the star fragment has died, their body will turn to stardust, which will then be returned to the cosmos it was born from. There, it will eventually come together with other drifting stardust to form a new star so that the cycle may repeat itself.
