As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over the deserted streets, Rose leaned against the wooden door. She called out to Laura as she approached, her voice carrying across the quiet courtyard. "Hey Laura! We're nearly done for the day! Join us for a round later?"

Laura waved cheerfully and entered a nearby building. Rose's gaze lingered on the empty street, feeling a sense of relief that her shift was ending. She didn't notice the Blue Swans hiding in the shadows, their bows drawn and arrows nocked.

The small raiding party needed access to the small, central building Rose stood guard over, where they could set a poisonous trap for the order's High Maiden. They took aim and soon the arrows, perfectly aimed at her chest, were hurtling silently towards their target. Rose's eyes widened in surprise, her cry of alarm lost amidst the wind of the oncoming shafts, mere moments away from piercing her...

This started life as an old image on Pixiv (the first sequence image on my site) that I thought I'd transferred to my new site, I went back to add a couple of additional views, did them, then realised it wasn't published anywhere, so I added a prequel image and so here we are, win win
