I am SO excited about this. I'm fully aware that people will absolutely hate this decision, they'll scream and shout and spew vile hatred towards a television show character who has always represented hope, wisdom, eternity. Time Lords can change gender, this is established. The fact that the Doctor has remained a white male for the past 50+ years is something that many have come to accept as, well, the Doctor should ALWAYS be a man. The BBC are about to turn this whole idea on its head. I LOVE IT.
