What the title says. I gotta get back on my cutting game. Halftones 2.0, moving on from where I left. Got ideas, several designs laying around, but nothing I'm 100% happy with. We'll get there. I reckon I'll be cutting in a few weeks.

I actually already had a finished design, which would've been:

A) Monitor-shatteringly awesome
B) The largest halftone _ever_ made
C) A buttload of work (at least a year of work, probably longer)

Because I didn't feel like throwing away all my weekends for the coming year and the fact that I didn't think the design was innovative enough I decided to trash the whole thing.

But yeah, it's time. [daunting drums]

A week ago I started a little contest aimed at getting a cool title for my latest halftone stencil (soleone.deviantart.com/art/27-… & soleone.deviantart.com/art/27-…). Thirteen people took the time to share their thoughts and I have to say, I underestimated you. That's not me being polite, I really am surprised by the quality of many of the suggestions. That said, there can be only one winner.

After long and hard consideration, I went for "You Break My Heart Into A Thousand Pieces And You Say It's Because I Deserve Better" by ~selfhaircuts01. I have a thing for titles that tell a little story and really add an additional layer to the piece and from all suggestions, this title tells the most interesting story.

I strongly recommend everyone to take a look at ~selfhaircuts01's gallery, because I sincerely think he has some of the most underrated stencil-art here on dA. My favourite is definitely Crystal Splinters City Skies (selfhaircuts01.deviantart.com/…) and I'm not the only one loving that piece, considering the fact that it was awarded a DD ("underrated, you said?")! His latest deviation (selfhaircuts01.deviantart.com/…) shows the insane level of detail involved in his stencil and the amount of patience involved in making the stuff that he does. Lastly, I also have a thing for "Hello Fridge" (selfhaircuts01.deviantart.com/…). When looking at it from a small distance, one could easily confuse it for a picture.

Closing, there are two other title-suggestions that I didn't want to keep from you. Just like "You Break My Heart", these titles also tell a little story. Honourable mentions:
