My Little Pony - Season 7 Rating

Season 7 had an interesting start. Personally I liked the idea, that instead of a new evil force, or some world threatening crisis, this time it had a more simple, yet interesting problem. The episodes quality and enjoyment were more mixed than in S6 or S5, but overall it was a still pretty good season. There were two things that made this season really strong. On one hand, the main characters here have finally achieved the dream of their lives. While on the other hand, unlike in the previous seasons, the great conflict not only was brought in at the end, but its historical threads began to be introduced much earlier. Also, they finally started doing something with Celestia, and make her more than just some boring, perfect idol. The season has only two major flaw for me. The ruination of MarbleMac was already unacceptable, but that episode sucked even without that. And while I really enjoyed the first part of the season final, the Pony of Shadow was a huge disappointment. It has a huge potential, yet it ended as a missed opportunity.
