The real highlight of the new house is being neighbors with the deer; they come out every evening to graze in the field and I put off checking the mail until then. And cats don't need much space - my larger cat is happy to curl up in the laundry basket lately.
I would happily send you my fragments, but they went away as of August - dA converted them into badges or something, idk.
dA has never been built with literature in mind, but the Eclipse update made it far worse. There was a very ling period when I couldn't upload anything written at all.
