Description
"It's the end, its over..." Silver babbled incoherently and he wrapped his arms around her. Tears flowed down her face freely now as she embraced him for the last time, clinging to him as if she could prevent the inevitable by doing so.
"Shh... it's alright..." He whispered into her ear as her curled his wings around her shaking body. A blinding light filled the world and a spiraling fiery tower billowed into the sky, expanding outward at an exponential rate. He heard a loud whizzing not far overhead and knew time was drawing thin. He pulled Silver closer to himself, twisting his tail around hers.
"I'm here, until the bitter end" He said, voice cracking as a second flash of blinding light exploded around them and a second radiation-filled cloud of flame consumed them
This is a very personal picture of my character, Silver, and her unknown mate, set for the future of course. An apocalyptic vision, I feel I didn't do it very well justice but the feelings are there: Lifelong mates in love beyond words, embrace for one final time, in front of a mushroom cloud (back left), before a nuclear explosion (left corner) overcomes them.
