Description

Our Trinity Blood cosplay at Lucca Comics and Games 2011, the most important con in Italy. Sunday Oct. 30th, the day our long awaited dream came true ^^

Me as Seth Nightroad, aka Augusta Vladika, the Empress of Tara Metuseluth; Kinnara as Radu Barvon, Baron of Luxor, my beloved traitor. Goes without saying, but this is Thores Shibamoto's novels illustrations version (ROM III black&white artworks).
Everything you see here is totally hand made from scratch, and made by Kinnara. Radu’s costume is all done by her, I just did the little paint works. Seth’s dress, bloomers, hat and armour pieces were also made by Kinnara; paintings, decorations and shoes by me. Tuning forks crafted by my boyfriend Ahkan following my design, and with a little hand from me.
Me and my friend did cast all the resin gems by ourselves, and we both did our own makeup and wig styling.
A huge thanks to Kinnara’s mother for helping us with Seth’s “jacket” when we were running out of time for last year’s contest. I’ll never forget what she did for me.
Photo by ~Hana-May’s brother! Many thankies!!

Long story short…. these were the costumes I had announced one year ago ^^’ that were supposed to go with our gorgeous Trinity Blood group [link] for 2010 contest. We worked the hardest but we couldn’t make it on time, the effort the rest of the group required was simply too huge. But we’re here now! ^____^
Trinity Blood’s Empire was our biggest cosplay dream, and I can’t believe it’s finally true. Countless months of study, sketches and discussions, late hours at night to choose every tiny trim and lace, and all the work Kinnara carried out all by herself. I just say that every bead, every decoration is hand made; same goes for the frogs and Chinese knots, and even the matherial the armours' decorations are made of was created by my friend; all the trims, laces and appliques where custom altered, arranged and dyed to match the various tones of gold; our outfits contain roughly one hundred gems each, crafted one by one. But I hope these costumes are not just a matter of numbers, but of style and design. We did our best to understand and follow Thores Shibamoto’s concept, with more than a hint of our personal taste of course.

Better photos showing the rest of the outfits will surely come! I’ll spam you my friends, beware of me!
And doooon't forget to check also my cosplay team's account ~Cospoison for more photos and more TB costumes! :flirty: *PR mode on*

Thank you, Kinnara.

These are too beautiful! You can tell a lot of love, hard work, and dedication went into these. I wish I had half the talent you two have! - Harl xoxo
