Description
I have made so many snowglobes over the two years I've been here *le faints* and now it brings me great pleasure to have set up a template for everyone to use! I will still accept commissions for these little guys, but now hopefully the snowglobe love will be shared with everyone It's taken me so long to decide to do this...please don't make me regret it, but the reason I decided to do it was because I realized that it's really rewarding to see what other artists create using tools you gave them, like a base or a lineart, so here it is!
Download the .psd file directly from this deviation! - you should be able to see the 'download' button on the right ^^
Instructions:
1: download the file and open in photoshop or another program you can animate in.
2: You have 2 options
a) Color in the horse lineart provided
b) Draw your own and color it, and it can be anything - horse, cat, dog, dolphin, kangaroo, person, dragon, whatever you want
3: Decorate the base (I will not tolerate this being uploaded with a plain brown base on every other one, be creative with this template please!)
You can color the base, delete it and make your own, add swirls and designs to the outside of the globe, do whatever you want (for inspiration, see the many snowglobes I have made myself here: scutterland.deviantart.com/gal…)
4: Merge all the layers up until the layer titled 1 Falling Snow
5: Duplicate the globe layer four times, and move on under each of the falling snow layers
6: Merge the individual falling snow layers with the individual globe layers. There should be four total!
7: I provided a decoy circle that is at the top of the layer stack to use for selecting just the globe. You may use it when designing your base, as I often do. Delete this circle now.
8: Go under save for web and click the check box by "animate" (in various versions of Photoshop or in other programs the animate option may not be a check box, so look carefully and consult the web about your program!)
9: Change the frame rate to .1, save, upload to your account and enjoy!
And of course, please remember to...

I have worked so hard on this base, snowglobes, and this idea in general for two years. Treat it with respect my lovelies and I will be encouraged to make more bases for you to use!
To make as an icon:
1: After coloring and merging, change size to 50 X 50 pixels
2: go through the animating steps seen above
3: Save, set as icon and enjoy!
You are free to edit, change, manipulate or otherwise customize to your heart's content. You are NOT allowed to redistribute or claim as your own.

The save to web doesn't work with gimp so I had to use ezimba to animate it, but I had fun doing so. cx
I ran out of creativity for the base so it's a little scattered but I like the snowglobe part. x3
