Belgian Horse Size

The Belgian heavy horse is one of the strongest horses in the world. It stands about 16-18 hands (1.65-1.8 m) at the withers and weigh as much as 900 kg to a maximum of 1100 kg. The largest Belgian horse stood 19.2 hands at the withers and weighed 1,451 kg, which is also the record holder for the second largest known horse, just behind the largest Shire horse.
