Elbereth and Elre

can you tell who is who? 😅

let me make one thing clear: elre quinterrez (pronounced exactly how you think; el-ree) is not elbereth's twin, identical or fraternal. he is not even related to elbereth. elbereth has no siblings besides his brother athlin.

elre is simply one of those 6-8 random other people in the world who just happen to look eerily similar to elbereth.

in fact, elre is four years older than elbereth (eight years older than sia) and had been in arün for about sixty years when he and elbereth meet. (by then, elbereth had only been in arün for about twenty or so years.)

elre was born in a town called goldcrest, a small-ish village between the kingdoms of öpéli and jimёne. he is the son of a lawyer (an up & coming concept in the world of oriande) and an accountant. ultimately, he is hired by elbereth to be a stable boy, alongside jaonos elckervyck, but he takes on some butler and treasurey tasks to help conaire.

and yes, there are several people who are freaked out by this, including elbereth, elre, sia and rhistel, and there are definitely some people who actually mistake elre as sia and elbereth's son until they clear up any misconceptions.
