Description
Another brother-in-law, another drawing. I decided to make him a Shabti Champion, which was the perfect excuse to research about Egyptian gods and the types of armor that the inhabitants of Kemet - as the ancient Egyptians themselves called their kingdom - used. I chose Anubis as his patron god not only because he is one of the best-known gods, but also because he is one of the most present precisely in the Pathfinder 2E scenario, since the gods of Osirion, a region of Golarion practically copied from Ancient Egypt, be the same as here. The Champions of Anubis are the most classic, being destroyers of the undead, something linked to divine classes since the beginning of TTRPG.
The colored armor may seem like an invention, but from what I researched it was something used by the nobles of Kemet, as a coat of dyed metal scales would be very expensive for a humbler soldier. The weapon sacred to Anubis in the Pathfinder scenario is the Nekhakha (a type of flail), which was also one of the symbols of the pharaohs, but I wanted to bring a heavier version suitable for battle, as it was originally an agricultural tool, being used as a weapon later.
