Three weeks ago I took a trip to Kirkland and Seattle, WA. My trip had a two-fold agenda: first, scout galleries and meet people involved with the art scene in the Puget sound area, and second, spend some time with my good friends Stephanie, Michael, Matt, and Meredith. Michael White and I think a lot about art and about life. We have many times travelled different paths concerning these topics, but more often than not our roads intersect and we learn a great deal from the sharing of intellect.

The beginning has begun! I have finished five new pieces and am hanging them at Preston Winery's 2nd Street salon in Walla Walla, WA tomorrow morning. I learned a lot over the course of their birth. In a couple of days I will start working on the second phase of my tour de mystique. My hanging date for the next batch just got moved forward about two weeks so I must start sweating and bleeding once more. I've posted the first five of these "familiars", so please tell me what you think of them and ask questions and sling your mud.
