About Ray

Ray is an official SEGA character. His first game appearance was the 1993 Arcade game SegaSonic the Hedgehog (in which Mighty, known from Knuckles' Chaotix and the Archie comics, debuted as well).
He regained some popularity due to his appearance in the Archie comic series (with a slightly altered appearance). In 2018 SEGA decided to release him and Mighty from their shackles and join Sonic, Tails and Knuckles in Sonic Mania+! Ray would then go on to appear in the IDW comics Classic specials and cameoed in Sonic Speed Simulator as a toy and some accessories! Ray would also show up in Minecraft sporting a skin looking more like his Post Reboot Archie counterpart than his current classic look, which is interesting... 👀
