Description

*awkwardly realizes I haven't posted in a month*
I drew this a few weeks ago because I was in the mood for some drawing and I can't get over how beautiful the sunsets are here! Sunsets are always beautiful, but I walk around outside at sunset hours a lot more since that's normally when dinner ends (...and because more social life + less bedtime).

It took me about two hours and...it looks really dramatic and not at all how I visualized. Good practice, though! I'm just slightly disappointed that it looks like a dystopia now. :lmao:

To those who care: college has been going really well! Lots of work but I'm surviving. Finished my seminar paper, which is the big paper for the semester, and I'm getting out a lot more than I did back home. The perks of friends with cars. Hope you guys are doing well too!

Hello there!

This piece immediately caught my eye when I was looking through your gallery, it's absolutely stunning! I like how, instead of trying to draw attention to one specific aspect, you've left multiple parts equally attention-stealing. As a viewer, this makes me happier because you've left me a choice, rather than telling me on what I should focus.

The three sources of light (the moon, sun, and the girl) are each intriguing, and provide a wonderful illumination to your piece. This helps to highlight specific details: the stars, the clouds, the hill's sillouette, the rays of the sun, and the branches. I think you have a nice balance of light and darkness in this piece, as each aspect of illumination is offset by the darkness it it attempts to ambush.

I have no negative critiques on this piece, I think it is incredibly beautiful just how it is!
