[Sentimonster Comic Snippet 6 #15]
It’s a peaceful day. Patrol is over, and the Miraculous holders exchange farewells before going their separate ways. On the rooftop, only Felix and Kagami remain.
Kagami tilts her head at Felix.
K: “What will you do, Felix?”
F: “I want to stay here a bit longer.”
She smiles, understanding his intention. Felix enjoys lingering in solitude, immersing himself in the emotional rhythms of the city—a habit of his even outside patrol hours.
Turning to Soar, Kagami strokes the bird’s face affectionately.
K: “Your father wants some alone time, Birdie. Want to have fun with me instead?”
She coos in a playful, singsong tone.
The wind symbol on Kagami’s chest glows softly, and Soar chirps in delight. The glow signals Kagami’s transformation into the wind—a form she often uses to tumble and race through the sky with Soar.
Felix watches them ascend higher and higher with a faint smile before closing his eyes. He tunes into the emotional atmosphere of Paris: tranquil and untroubled, with no signs of distress. However, one strong presence tugs at his attention.
On a distant rooftop, Felix spots Luka.
Over time, Felix has come to understand Luka’s emotional cadence. Beneath Luka’s calm demeanor lies a storm—a quiet, mournful melody that seems to echo his inner pain. Felix thinks, He must be thinking about Marinette again.
-----
Memories surface as Felix observes Luka. He recalls his confrontation with Marinette over Adrien’s twin ring—the one Marinette kept while Lila used its counterpart to control Adrien. Felix had wanted the ring to save Adrien and was ready to fight for it.
But Luka intervened. In hindsight, Felix suspects Luka used Second Chance to avoid the clash. Furious and empty-handed, Felix stormed off to confront Lila’s gang with only Kagami by his side, while Luka stayed with Marinette, protecting her during a moment of paralyzing fear.
Later, on the night Adrien pleaded for Felix to “release” him, Felix learned the truth: Luka had been severely injured protecting Marinette.
After Adrien’s rescue, Felix followed Kagami to Luka’s place and discovered the aftermath of Luka’s heroism—therapy sessions, PTSD medication, and, more recently, a panic attack triggered by the memory of a canceled reality where Felix had died.
Felix had spoken with Adrien about it afterward and learned more about Luka’s sacrifices. Thanks to Sass, Adrien and Marinette knew the extent of Luka’s pain and resilience.
Damn, Felix thinks, shaking his head. He’s a genius with Second Chance. Emotionally wrecked, but still a genius. And selfless, too—the lengths he went to for Adrien and Marinette… What kind of tragic, noble love story is this?
-----
Felix leaps across rooftops and lands beside Luka, who glances at him with a faint smile.
F: “Mind if I sit?”
L: “Join in.” (gesturing to the empty spot)
They sit in companionable silence, gazing out over the city. The view seems to deepen the melancholy in Luka’s emotional aura, and Felix groans involuntarily at the weight of it.
Luka looks at him curiously.
L: “...Am I emotionally loud again?”
F: (sighs) “Your sad melody is so loud, it’s a wonder no akuma has come for you.”
L: (chuckles awkwardly) “That bad?”
F: (shrugs) “Exaggerating. But yeah, the strongest emotions around here are yours.”
Luka scratches the back of his head, embarrassed.
L: “You can feel everything I feel? No wonder Marinette said she feels so exposed around you and Adrien.”
Felix smirks. Luka’s honesty is refreshing, but his bottled-up pain is starting to irritate him.
F: “Luka.”
L: “Hmm?”
F: “I sometimes feel sorry for myself.”
L: “You do? When?”
F: “When I see others with loving fathers. I wanted that, too.”
Luka watches him quietly.
F: “I kept telling myself I didn’t care. That I was fine without one. But... I wasn’t fine. Pretending sucked.”
L: “So what did you do?”
Felix points at Luka’s wrist.
F: “Use Second Chance.”
L: “What?”
F: “Just do it.”
Confused but trusting, Luka activates Second Chance. Felix stands, takes a deep breath, and yells at the top of his lungs:
F: “FUCK IT!!! FUCK IT ALL!!!”
The shout echoes across the rooftops. Felix senses surprise from nearby buildings and amusement from Luka. He shouts again, louder:
F: “FUCK IT!!!”
On his third shout, Luka rises, his emotions building to a crescendo. Felix braces himself. Here it comes.
L: “LOVE SUCKS!!!”
F: “FUCK IT!!!”
Their voices ring out like a rebellious symphony.
The two continue screaming like maniacs until a window nearby flies open.
Stranger: “WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!”
L: (freezes) “Uh… sorry!”
F: (grabs Luka’s arm) “Run!”
They leap away, laughter bubbling up as Kagami’s merry emotions swirl in the wind behind them.
-----
On another rooftop, they catch their breath, grinning.
F: “That was so stupid.”
L: (laughing) “So stupid.”
F: “Two idiots screaming on a rooftop, annoying strangers…”
They dissolve into laughter. Luka’s voice grows softer.
L: “Thanks, Felix. I feel better now.”
Felix smirks. Luka’s emotions have shifted—the sad melody replaced by something lighter.
F: “Consider it a gift. Now erase this reality so no one remembers you screaming like that. Only you will.”
L: (hesitates, then grins) “...I think I’ll keep this one.”
F: “Really?”
L: “Yeah. I want us to remember this. Not just me alone.”
F: (chuckling) “Self-pity, swearing, annoying random people… all you.”
L: “Thanks to you.”
F: “Am I a good influence or what?”
Five minutes pass. Luka doesn’t use Second Chance.

(Optional Reading: Just Doodler's imagination)
Luka is slowly reconnecting with the musical inspiration he lost during his darkest moments, when stress and emotional weight silenced his creativity. Soar has played a key role in helping him rediscover the melodies he thought he’d lost. I like to imagine Felix has a similar impact, helping Luka find his spark and rhythm once more.
