Her footfalls echoed in the dark and empty cavern, small and deliberate, as they were to keep silence at bay. Silence in the Deep proved many things;  insanity, loneliness, and potential death. Though, the tunnels she traversed had long been abandoned, deserted upon her unexpected arrival.
