Balto Fanart (1997-1998)

This was a watercolor in a book of bristol board paper that I did when I was 13-14 years old. I was still training as an artist and I was using the covers of my VHS and the movies themselves, to train my abilities.
I did not trace any of these fanarts. I did them by eyeballing what was in front of me.
These are a bit sloppily done, because I actually planned on no one seeing them. But, I've been encouraged to post it here, to show what I could do then, and I can do better now. As soon as I can, I will upload more from that time, and newer stuff as well.

In case anyone is unfamiliar with this movie/character- This is Balto. He was a real life Alaskan hero. If I remember right (It's been a long time since I've seen the movie). He was part Husky and part wolf. He saved a village that had been afraid of him (because of his wolf blood). That village (Nome, Alaska) was having an epidemic and could not get the medicine they needed.   He was the only dog who was able to deal with the weather and get the medicine, along with his handler/sled pilot.
You should look up his true story, if you are unfamiliar with it/him. The movie was really good, as well!
