Phase One - MOUNT RUSHMORE to DEVILS TOWER
 Distance: approximately 160 km
Weather forecast and Description:
The very first phase may seem short. But keep in mind this year the first horse is taking on the First AND Second Phase!!
You start at the very snowy Mount Rushmore, with thick, dark forests and occasionally slippery rocks under deep snow.
Take care not to get lost in the forest and look out for the local wildlife. Coyotes and Mountain Lions don't like to be petted.
High winds make the cold weather seem even more icy at some parts towards the Devils Tower,
where you hop onto a train to rest for the continue of your journey.
Temperatures are between -5°C and -15°C, weather a mix between high fog, clouds and occasional sunshine
