Jonathan was born in the Virginia suburbs. At the age of one, he moved to Japan with his parents, but moved back to Fairfax County VA two years later. He lived in Fairfax County VA until 1997 when he and his family moved to Portland, OR for two years. They then moved to Temecula, CA for another two years before returning to Fairfax in 2001.

In 2003, Jonathan had an emotional breakdown in his senior year of high school in Virginia due to stress from academics and personal life. He withdrew from most of his friendships and struggled with feelings of loneliness and disconnection. In 2005, he moved to PA to participate in a treatment program and began his journey towards mental health recovery.

In 2008, Jonathan quit drinking alcohol and declared bankruptcy due to massive credit card debt. He started smoking cigarettes in 2005, but quit in 2017. He also quit gambling in 2018. In 2014, he moved to Fallbrook, CA with his father and worked on a farm for five years. He appreciated the simplicity of farm life and developed a more positive outlook.

In November 2020, Jonathan got married to his lovely wife and they moved into an apartment in Oceanside, CA. He worked in Carlsbad, CA for two years and continued to grow in his career, feeling proud of his achievements and grateful for the opportunities he received. In 2021  Jonathan feels a mix of gratitude for the support and closeness with family, but also faces challenges in navigating mental illness.  Jonathan has struggled with obesity and has found success with a low-carb diet. He is still working on his mental health and continues to grow and develop as a person.
