Younger early 1990s Madonna.
I used a 11 1/2-inch Mattel doll.
Factory facial paint was completely removed and the doll fully repainted in the likeness of Madonna. Doll's hair style was also transformed to replicate Madonna's during said Academy Awards.
Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area . Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise.

Do you ever do the bodies as well? Like collar bones or anything of the sort?
