Spike's Favorite Place
Spike and Twilight raced through the forest, Spike ahead by several feet. But Twilight was slowly catching up, her hooves kicking up loose grass and small rocks.
"I'm going to beat you, little brother!" Twilight exclaimed with a cheerful, but determined look in her eyes.
"Not in a thousand years, big sis!"
The trees were mere blurs from the speed of the two along the forest path towards the place Spike enjoyed. The two siblings, despite the bit of rivalry between them that has been there since they were younger, never let that break up their sibling bond.
Pouring more magic into her speed spell, Twilight zoomed past Spike, spraying grass into his face.
"Hey, that's cheating!" Spike yelled, covering his face with his wing.
Racing back, Twilight stopped in front of him and stuck out her tongue for a moment, before racing off again.
"Oh, you're in for it when I catch up to you! Hahahaha!" Spike laughed, extending his wings, waiting for the perfect moment. When that moment came
With the sun beginning to peek over the land, Twilight and Spike were already miles away from the Thundergloom Woods. The calm meadow stretched on as far as they could see in all directions. Seeing the rays of the sun, Twilight disabled her horn light. The infamous bog at the far edge of the meadow grew closer and closer with every step the duo took. The road soon split off into a fork, with one path going to the east, one to the west, and the last continuing straight into the bog.
"Be careful, Spike. We're almost at the entrance to the Parasprite Bog." Twilight slowed down, allowing Spike to catch up
"Are you sure we shouldn't go around the bog where it's safer?"
"I wish we could. But the road forward is the quickest. Both of the others would take many more hours to get to the city." She explained, her eyes watching him as he came up to the side of her. "Just try not to make too much noise."
"I know, Twilight. You've told me this before. Because of the creatures who live in this

Spirits and Nightmares: Episode 2
Near silence echoed through the dense forest around Vaia. The wind barely touched the seemingly endless expanse of trees and other various plants. Beginning to calm down a little, the kitsune raised her head and looked around her. Tear stains covered some of the fur on her face and forelegs.
Getting back up on her paws, she sniffled. Her eyes were still red from crying. Wiping her eyes with her left paw, she breathed slowly, which helped calm her down more. ‘I should probably start heading back.’ She thought. ‘The Summer Sun Celebration will probably be beginning soon.’ But the memory of Twilight yelling played once more in her mind.
Shaking her head, Vaia attempted to clear her mind of that painful memory. Breathing heavily, she began to walk forward through the foliage. “How do I get out?” She wondered out loud, eyes scanning her surroundings as she wandered through the dense forest.
The forest seemed to repeat on, almost like a maze. Darkness kept the woods in an eerie state.

Spirits and Nightmares: Episode 1
In the warmly lit bedroom inside of Canterlot Castle, Princess Celestia awaited the arrival of one of her students. Holding a scroll with her magic, she remained silent, eyes fixed on the moon high above the kingdom. A sorrowful expression present upon her face as she stared at the familiar sight of an alicorn's head formed into the moon's surface. Even as the door creaked open, her gaze did not change.
"You wished to see me, Princess Celestia?" Questioned the student. A large kitsune slowly walked towards her, nine fluffy tails raised up behind. A large leather saddlebag hung over her back, carrying various maps on one side and blank papers and quills on the other. "Is there anything you wanted?"
"Yes." Celestia replied, looking down at the scroll. "It relates to your sister, Vaia." Turning around, Celestia levitated the scroll over to Vaia. "I want you and her to assist with preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration in Ponyville this year. This scroll details the role of each
In the depths of a great forest, the sound of thunder echoed throughout the silence. A single form moved quickly through the trees, weaving between trunks and ducking under fallen logs. Shiny purple scales covered most of his body, reflecting the sunlight from above. Two large wings lay folded upon his back, and a long, spiked tail snaked behind him, wrapped around a small woven basket of various berries.
Approaching a clearing in the forest, the sight of a single tree came into view before him. A pair of unlit lanterns hung on both sides of the doorway. The door, built to have enough space for him to fit inside, creaked as he entered the house.
"Ah, Spike. You're back." Said a familiar voice. A purple unicorn, dressed in the robe of a mage, walked into the room. Giving Spike a quick hug, she took the basket of berries in her magic. "Did the other ponies in Vivella treat you well?" She asked, a look of worry in her eyes.
"Yes. For once." Spike replied. His voice was heard in her
In the ancient days, there were two great empires who remained at peace with one another. These empires were ruled by the two sisters.
The first of the two empires, Avila, ruled by the graceful empress of fire and rebirth, laid in the east. It was home to various creatures who loved the day, choosing to sleep during the hours of the night.
The other, Elaron, ruled by the empress of courage and strength, rested in the west. Its populace slept during the daytime, choosing to come out in the darkness under the glow of the moon.
These two empires were guided by peace and freedom. Both remained in a close bond with each other, sticking side by side in times of peril and distress. The two sisters kept the land from falling into conflict between the two sides. For millennia, kindness and harmony reigned.
But that harmony did not last forever
One day, a single thestral flew from the inner region of Elaron, containing an urgent message for the Empress of Avila. The West Empress was found
