Description
I am so incredibly proud of this picture!!! I've been working on it practically all day (with breaks obviously) and I've finally finished!
This is a picture of Tomahawk, a horse that I'm hoping to adopt from
I decided to try using the pen tool to do some horse lineart, since I don't have a tablet and my lines are usually not as smooth as I would like. So I used 's lineart tutorial. I am so happy with how it turned out I wasn't planning on using it again since it took quite a bit of extra effort, but the result is so good, that I think I will. The pen tool actually isn't too bad once you get used to it.
I realize that there is a sort of Spirit vibe with a stallion and a bird. It is however, a hawk, not an eagle. Also, his mane is usually flat, it's just up ecause he's falling. I think that I went a little crazy with his mane!
Name: Tomahawk
Gender: Male
Height: 14.2hh
Personality: Tomahawk is very carefree and energetic. He can be a bit of a troublemaker but usually means well. He usually prefers going off exploring to spending time safe in his heard.
Background story: Tomahawk was born in an Indian/Native American tribe. His dam and sire both belonged to members of the tribe and he was quickly taught to trust the Indians, as well as learning about the land and creatures in it. One night though there was an accident with a wild horse that had just been caught and Tomahawk got in the way, ending up being cut across the face. He panicked and ran away, and in the confusion nobody knew that he was missing until it was too late. Terrified of other horses and humans, Tomahawk ended up far away from his home. He stumbled across a wild horse heard where a sweet brown mare named Nolie who had just lost a foal of her own took him in. The leader of the heard and Nolie’s mate, a silver dapple buckskin stallion named Orion, disapproved of taking in an ‘owned’ foal, seeing the Indian feathers in Tomahawk’s tail. Nolie convinced him to let Tomahawk stay, but Orion always disliked him. As Tomahawk grew older he forgot about his past, thinking that he had been a wild horse his entire life and not knowing why his father disliked him, or how he had gotten the scar, almost shaped like a tomahawk (an Indian axe) on his face.
