At a Hearth's Warming Eve party at Canterlot Castle, Princess Sunset Shimmer cries happy tears over the orphaned children showering her with love and affection. They are from a Canterlot orphanage sponsored by Princesses Celestia and Luna, Sunset's adoptive mother and aunt.

A pegasus filly shows off a plushie of Sunset's pony form in the same dress and tiara as the human one. A unicorn colt floats a doll he made of Sunset, although the eyes are a bit crooked. And an earth pony meets Sunset's pet leopard gecko Ray.
