I like your perspective thanks for replying to my comment😊

Don't video games and animation degrade women as well? Sexualized female characters are know to mess with girl's self esteem and body image issues. Plus, sexualized female characters are not pretty. They are hideous plastic balloon doll monstrosities. Not real women.

A character can be attractive without being a bimbo thot. Just food for thought.

Also, men are sub human monsters who bathe in the blood of female infants. Real women hate men and want to bring them down.

Hm. Well, thank you for sharing your opinion, I believe you're a little extreme in the man-hating division, but that's just my perspective. Honestly there are great men out there, there's just a lot of a-holes too, and it's like bad customers -- it's the bad ones you remember at the end of your shift, isn't it?

Having a female character that is widely accepted as "sexy" is just as impactful on women's bodies as a buffed out male character would be towards men's bodies.

At the end of the day, we all have the ability to decide what media is and isn't going to be enjoyable for us to consume. If you're not enjoying video games with female characters that have a certain sexuality to them, then no one is going to judge you for not playing them.

I've played plenty of games with sexy female characters, especially the ones where you get to make your own character like Mass Effect. My characters were always dolled up and excessively presented for the situation. It's fantasy, boy I wish I looked like that but I'm happy enough in my own skin to not let it bother me. :)

I personally think hot, sexualize male characters also promote toxic masculinity, and give male gamers the idea to be handsome, yet brutishly violent. If those male characters were real, they would have restraining orders put on them for potential domestic abuse charges.

So yeah, there is that. Why can't we have characters be normal for once, and not represent toxic gender stereotypes? This is why youngsters of both genders have body image issues and low self esteems.

Not to mention all ugly characters are always evil as well, which is very much what I call "Looks shaming". I just had to point that out politely.

Pornography promotes rape, abuse, and sexual exploitation. Yet hardcore feminists are okay with this? Were they abused as a kid or something?

That also includes cartoon and video game porn.

Pornography when not well-regulated with protections for sex workers who consent to this line of work can do this, yes. I can't speak for "hardcore feminists" because it's a pretty vague term, but as someone who believes in equal rights I fully support the ability for men and women to pursue careers in sex work/pornography/etc if they so wish it.

Thanks for your comment, though! I disagree with your statement but do appreciate you taking the time to leave it.

All the best! x
