Standing her ground

To come across a pride of lions while on walking safari is, once again, an entirely different experience.

We saw them, and they saw us, and the whole gang immediately disappeared into the bush, except for one lioness who kept watching whatever we were up to for several minutes. We didn't move, and eventually, she also retreated into the safety of the bush.
