Taking place in the future of 2189, where humanity has colonized another dimension after a portal opened during the year 2058 not far from New York City harbor, after long periods of peace and prosperity, a series of global rebellion during the year 2157 creates a chain reaction of events that creates a world-wide Mutation Event called "The Ethereal Nightmare Event".

This world, named Gaea, is home to a managarie of mutated creatures. The most powerful of these creatures are the kaiju, creatures so large and powerful that entire nations quake at the mere thought of fighting one.

One kaiju however is different, one that is unique in both behavior and appearance, one that tolerates the presence of humans... but why? If humans can tap into the mind of such a creature, they may have a fighting chance to reclaim Lacerta, and perhaps... even further...
