So it's a been a while ....

Six years and two months, to be precise.

So what happened after my last post here in July 2015? Looking back, it was something of a perfect storm of things happening in my life. I had been shooting so much over the previous three years, and yes it is wonderful to be able to shoot bondage - but as the saying goes, sometimes you can have too much of a good thing. I was becoming burnt out, and the passing of someone who played a big part in my earlier bondage shoots (see previous journal entry) I think hit me a lot harder than I realised. Plus my frantic pace of shooting was probably largely fuelled by the negative attacks I was getting online in some spaces (again, refer to previous journal entries), and that was never sustainable.

Outside of bondage shooting, I had been laid off from a job where I was working for nearly a decade, and in 2015 and 2016 I ended up working in jobs that were very draining for me emotionally, resulting in me shooting a lot less, and having no spoons left to edit the number of photosets that had piled up. After removing myself from one of said jobs for the sake of my mental health, I was just not in a financial position to do any more shoots, as what money I was getting from my monetised content had to be diverted to cover other expenses.

By 2020 I was finally back into a position to resume doing bondage shoots, but there was small issue of a world wide pandemic that made being in close proximity of a model to tie her up a rather risky proposition for a while. It was finally October last year, just a few days short of four years since my last shoot, that I finally picked up the ropes again. Even after that I have not been able to get back into shooting regularly yet, but at least I've managed to get four shoots in over the past year.

Such a long absence has given me the opportunity to go through a bit of a rebrand, and also look into other options for monetising my content. After considering Patreon, Onlyfans and paid galleries here on DA, I have settled for selling content through Bentbox.

One concern I had logging into this account after so long is that interest in this page would be long dead. But I see from the notifications that there is still a lot of interest in the content even though I haven't updated in so long.

So my return to bondage shooting is still a work in progress, but at least that journey has begun.
