Reynold Faulkner, or Rey to his friends, is very intelligent but also laid back. He doesn't care to flaunt his smarts too much, though he does answer a question only when he is asked. He is also a skilled martial artist in training, along with his close friend Adam. Rey lives with his sister Aveline, though she is often out because of her police duties. He also works for his uncle Clark as a clerk. He has a better understanding of machinery and gadgets than Adam does, too.

Though he is pretty mellow, Rey can't stand to see someone else when they're angry or upset. He often ends up being the one to tell them to calm down. He doesn't get annoyed very easily; at least, he doesn't show it. His eyes almost always look half-closed, to reflect this.
