The Co-Judges and i, did the scores with our best estimation of fairness. Welcome to the third and last venue of the Scandinavian Viking Tour! Fittingly, we will end this at the last stronghold of the vikings - Gamla Uppsala. When autumn is it’s most colourful, we saddle up by the Royal Burial Mounds, “Kungshögarna”, in this land that has been a spiritual site for several thousand years. Rumour tells us that the church is built on the very foundation of an old pagan temple. The air is thick with history and the three large mounds are said to be the final resting place for the mythical viking kings of old - or even for the gods Odin, Thor and Frey, in a time when the Swede called this land Svitjod. The Gjallarhorn is sounding, calling you all to join this last round of the tour - now that the final winner shall be crowned! … and such a feast we shall have at the end, in the very fortress of Odin.
