SSBU Sega's third character

After seeing Joker being confirmed in Smash, I can't be the only on who think that Sonic may not get an echo or another character from his game like Simon and Ryu, but instead another unique newcomer from his game company (how's the "compensation" here?).

Personally, if it wasn't for the Joker, I would like for Tails to be the Sonic newcomer (He deserves it more than any Sonic characters)

I hope I didn't get overboard in the last panel.
