Chapter 1 - Where Happiness Leaks Lailah woke up as the sun beamed on her face. She was clearly dreaming. She was dreaming about true love. Lailah didn’t really care about true love although her parents said she’ll be happy with one. Lailah stook to something else. She ran downstairs and smiled as her parents made her favorite breakfast. “Good morning.” Her mother said greeting. Lailah replied, “Good morning!” Her father walked to her and smiled. As always, Lailah thought, He always smiles. Her mother finished making breakfast and sat it on the table. “Enjoy.” She said, everyone started eating. Lailah nudged her brother to get his attention. “Like your shirt.” She remarked. “Shush.” He smirked. Lailah turned away and finished eating. She grabbed her bag and rode her bike off to school. She wasn’t surprised that lots of people were going to school. She is use to it, although the sidewalk can be a bit crowded. Soon she arrived at school and placed her bag in her locker .
