• The ability manifests itself via a color change in both eyes, this is in part due to the unique adrenaline-like chemical that is released from his brain reacting with his brain’s neuro electricity, this can also be seen on his body as the chemical flows through his veins and gives off a bioluminescent glow. This ability is controlled through focus, allowing Roman to enter this state of superhuman ability at will. The ability shows in two stages.
• Stage 1 (aka Blue Crush): In this stage, 50% of his body’s limiters are removed.
• Stage 2 (aka Gold Rush): In this stage, 100% of his body’s limiters are removed.

• Hearing

• Sight
• Pain Nulification
• The weakness of this ability has to be that for all the power it can give, it can leave him equally drained. Acting like adrenaline, after its use, can leave him physically weak when staying in the Blue Crush state for long periods of time. The second stage, Gold Rush, is even more dangerous, prolonged use of that stage can result in death. 
  

Bio: Roman loved heroes ever since he was a little kid, this could be mostly due to the influence of his parents who were total nerds for comic books and TV hero shows. His mother was a cop, and his father worked in construction, both were tired at the end of the day, but they always made time for him. Roman’s heroic tendencies blossomed early, during preschool he was always the self-appointed “anti-bully monitor”, always stepping in when another kid was picked on. This progressed into his grade school days when he’d often get into fights, mostly because someone was getting harassed or when he was unable to resolve an altercation peacefully. His parents, while proud of their son’s willingness to stand up for others, were worried for his wellbeing. So, they enrolled him in martial arts classes to hopefully – at the very least – have less harm fall on him.

Roman’s ability didn’t truly manifest until, around age ten. One day when he got home from school he found his father on the floor, his shoulder and leg bleeding from bullet wounds, and his mother held at gunpoint by a man in a mask. The masked man had ordered Roman to stand up, even Roman could tell, this man was out for blood, and he was planning on executing both of them. The man even stated, “I’m not going to kill you, no. The worst thing for a wife, for a mother, is to live with the memory of their dead son and husband.”

Roman’s mind was racing, faster and faster, his body shook, feeling the coursing of energy, of invigoration flowing through his body. And, like a bolt of lightning, strength flowed through him like never before, the world around him seemed to be moving in slow motion, he could feel everything in the room. The flow of the air, the smell of blood, sweat, and tears. The feel of the man’s muscles as they began to tense around the gun’s trigger, and the sense of shock and awe. Before they knew it, the masked man, his mother, and father witnessed Roman’s body produce blue luminescent lines, as well as his eyes changing from their normal brown color to blue with shimmering azure blue lines.

The young ten-year-old, without fear, without hesitation, dashed towards the masked man at a speed that was nearly inhuman, appearing right below him. The boy threw an uppercut straight for the man’s family jewels, the resulting impact made him cry out in pain, releasing the gun as he sailed up towards the ceiling, hitting it, and then falling flat on the ground completely knocked out. Afterwards, it turned out that the man was someone that his mother had put away awhile back and was seeking revenge, but apparently didn’t plan on getting thwarted by a child.

That event changed everything for Roman, he began to experiment more with his newfound ability, using the martial arts training and different focusing techniques he had learned from his karate sensei. He was following the news exploits of a person who was called The Overseer, who would take down criminals and was said to be indestructible. But then he vanished, and it was said that the person who was The Overseer died, named David Dunn. But not long after that, videos began to surface, hitting the news and social media like wildfire, of two superhuman beings fighting against each other, the hero, The Overseer, and the villain, The Horde.  

It was the dawn of a new age, an age of superhumans, of heroes, and unfortunately, villains. Roman understood now why he was born with this ability, The Overseer was the first, and now it was up to the rest of them to carry on his torch, and Roman would gladly accept the responsibility, he would be a Crusader.
