Sixth part of an Eeveelution series! For a Poketale!AU version of an Undertale-related story of hers!
Story Synopsis :
"Children of the Underground is an AU where, akin to an AU like Grouptale, the story is told with more than just Frisk ending up in the Underground. After a particularly hard forced reset, seven people from an entirely different universe get sucked into the universe of Undertale through a large rift between worlds. A strange "curse" mixed with the high energy from the distortion turn them back into children and make them lose their memories, scattering them across the Underground.
Playing as the first and main leader of the group - waking up in the ruins an hour after Frisk arrived - it falls to them to embark on a journey together; to remember what had happened, save the leader's friends, and figure out the true mystery that connects the power of Save, Reset and Determination to their predicament before all of them are forced a permanent Game Over by the one really in control. "
Hiccup Headcanons:
Items: Peculiar Rod; Burly Vest
Found in Muffet ' s webbing, he's the only one that initially had all of his memories intact. This, combined with being captured by said spider and being separated from his dragon, contributes to his bad/grumpy attitude.
The requirement to rescue him can be a frustrating endeavor if you aren't a good dodger--to save him, you need to beat Muffet, and his soul is included on the grid. It will follow you, but sometimes it will get hit. It is possible for Hiccup's HP to hit zero during this, making an automatic fail and locking you into the Neutral ending that happens when there are some in the group that were killed. You can bypass this part of the quest if you win Anna ' s challenges up to that point.
Due to his mood after rescue, he'll refuse to come back with Frisk or Webs to the ruins, opting to stay in Snowdin and calm down at Grillby's or elsewhere. He'll only go join the party or go back to the Ruins if you complete the other part of the sidequest.
Frisk and Webs will join Papyrus in a hunt for a "strange creature" spotting (after you completed his hangout/"date") for the other half, to which the mini game is to outrun the silhouetted creature. The goal is to get back to Snowdin, to which Hiccup will "stop" the "monster"--by stop, reads as find and monster is read as Toothless.
If Frisk saved before triggering the chase and starts over from that point before they reach Snowdin, if Toothless catches up, he'll just lick the two of them and follow them the rest of the way. It won't trigger if it's the first time the chase has been done.
As in all general, when any of the children do checks with Frisk, they have unique things to say about an object or monster. Hiccup's is closer to the original "flavor text" for some items and monsters initially, but if you do a check on it again, he'll have something else to say about it, or ask a question.
The Peculiar Rod can be used outside of combat when Hiccup is in the party to demonstrate what it can do to Frisk (and give it its' actual name). There is another easter egg for those that scroll through the text too fast, but it's one that reduces your HP by half the max number
