Description
Some days you win, some days you lose.
Yesterday, I got paid to draw Totoro.
If that's not a win I don't know what is!
A friend of mine commissioned me to draw Totoro and Catbus, full colour, 6x8. Other than those two being included, creative freedom was left completely to me. Watching the movie while working on the sketch was awesome because it kept the ideas flowing, and I ended up throwing in a mini Totoro and some Soot Sprites, too!
The Ghibli art style and my art style are so different I wasn't sure if I'd be able to make it work or not.
But I managed to fuse elements from both, so I'm pleased with it in the end, and the commissioner's thrilled, so I'm happy. 
Commissions are currently closed until I finish my current slot set. I'll post as soon as they're open!
Done with Copics as always.
