I think that as a tattoo design, it could have been condensed a bit. There is a lot of open area that the client may want filled later in time, and that would just create a rough time for the artist that has to tackle the job. You're starting to get an understanding for layering, keep running with that, as it will make it so you can fit all the same elements into a smaller form-fitting area.
Use your pencils to your best capability. Theres paper texture showing through in some places, but not in others, meaning that you rushed to finish this.
Just gotta research your artist. Check out portfolios, read reviews, check out the shop ahead of time. Most "capable" tattooers you won't find locally unless you live in a city.
I just don't like it here anymore. There's too many teenage twats running around with cameras doing FB angles, untalented assholes drawing shit on lined paper, and horrible tattooers on here. So, I stick to the sites where I don't have to see everyone's posts. True art has died here.
