Description
The day called for partly cloudy skies, but when I arrived there was a steady downpour going on… yeah, California weather… always an unpredictable fare. I stopped into a local cafe in Pescadero and took my time downing tortilla chips and soda pop, but eventually I had to face the fact that this day was not going to give me anything to work with. I decided at length to travel south towards Santa Cruz and see if it was letting up there, some 35 miles or so to the south. Then, as I came to Hwy 1, I saw it… a break in the clouds. A big huge glorious break in the clouds, and not a moment too soon either… it was turning 7 O’Clock.
