This superspecies was discovered being embedded in between the sedimentary layers under the plateau of the Manpupuner Rock Formations, Komi Republic, not long ago after the 2014 San Francisco Attack. Originally the radioactive readings of the Titan only indicated a web-like morphology mounting on the geological layers, but later developed into a giant-shaped network after his escape from the containment in 2019. The surprisingly complicated filamentous structure of the Titan locomotion system again tells the unique and unimaginable varieties on the Titan physiology.

<Classification>

This superspecies has a one-of-his-kind classification as a member of the florafauna, a type of hybrid organism which consists of a vegetation part and an animal part. The florafauna were only recorded occurring on Skull Island, the Hollow Earth, and the newly discovered intermediate biome Axis Mundi. This Titan is the first and, currently, the only registered florafauna Titan naturally occurring on the Earth surface. The amphibiousness of the Titan physiology is displayed from the fish-like head, with arrangement of teeth similar to some fishes in the oceanic twilight zone. Four tendrils acting like tentacles to the cephalopods protruding from the side of his skull may provide several nutrients such gases and minerals to sustain his long stay within the waters or underground reservoir. A sum of eleven yellow glowing eyes on his face may have lowered vision given the Titan’s favorable environment is mostly dark throughout the years. Instead the eyes may attract preys for his consumption, with the help of the tentacles in sensing the environment, being responsive and vigilant.

A remarkable feature of this specimen regards his neural network, which he drives the dead plant material to move as he commanded, hence becoming the body he possesses. Possibly due to the prolonged attachment of these neural tendrils to the plant, it causes an absorption and inter-specific fusion between part of the Titan and that vegetation. The Titan alone only consists of a functional head and a spinal cord with pulsing blue bioluminescence, dragging hundreds, thousands of tinier, well-differentiated “Terminal-junctions.” The terminal-junctions were a group of specialized organs presented in every terminus of the branching spinal cord, functioning in attaching to the substrate, which is the wood. By the still mysterious telekinetic power the Titan harnessed, the plant matter moves without any aid from a skeletomuscular system.

Monarch has learned about the fact that the current form this specimen taken was not the only one. The earliest recorded appearance of the Titan was around 3000 B.C.E. in Ancient Greece, taking the form of a slender, serpentine look, with occasional protrusions of scythe-like tendrils deployment. The next record dated back around 900 B.C.E. in today’s Finland, which he fought against a member of Titanus kong in the form of resembling a three-headed, winged beast. And as Monarch discovered him in the Manpupuner Rock Formations, the Titan spread the branching spinal cord like roots of tree to anchor firmly on the sediments. He was since known to roam around the world in the current semi-humanoid form. If piecing the facts and myths together, the way the specimen changed appearance appears to be an act of mimicry. He would pretend the strongest foe he would ever face to intimidate offenders. This would explain why he adopted a look with multiple appendages after being defeated by King Ghidorah five thousand years ago, and changed to a form of a giant after losing to a Kong member.

The comprehensive biology of this specimen was still bogged down by many mysteries, such as the mechanics behind the “telekinesis,” his bio-pathogenic emissions, and the vulnerability of certain frequencies.

<Abilities>

This Titan was amphibious in behavior, which he mostly stays around bodies of water. Salt water is also an option but fresh water is always the most welcome. Some say part of the fused plant matters can revitalize and boost regenerating the “body” under exposure to fresh water, which seems why Amhuluk usually lurked within lakes and rivers.

“Telekinesis” is a well-known ability of Amhuluk. Not only can he deliver an enhanced, powerful physical blow on his opponent, but psychic shocks sent from the terminals of the tendrils can give virtual pain or stuns to target. On the other hand, he can perform re-structures of his “body” by arranging the dead plant, which is a shape-shifting ability with many varieties of morphological functions to choose from, including flippers for swimming, hands for grabbing and wings for departure to sky.

Apparently Amhuluk can emit pollutants, not restricted to either inorganic or organic, to the natural environment. Polluted waters can harm and cause illness in humans and wildlife, while leeching of such substances may deplete soil quality for plant growth in short term.

<History>

Amhuluk was known to humanity in the earliest times possible, with several civilizations recorded this strange beast’s behaviors. According to the Monarch Historical and Mythological Archive, Menoetius, a name of a Titan with the meaning “doomed might,” is what the people in Ancient Greece knew of Amhuluk. A mythological gigantic being terrorizing the streets and towns, ultimately lost to the Lord of the Stars, Crius and fled to a distant land in the East. Two thousand years later in Finland, Amhuluk was having a peaceful time in his life, but unfortunately met a militant member of the T. kong species, referred as the “Rival” by Monarch. This member of Kong was incredibly combative to Monarch’s acknowledgement, and thus he beat Amhuluk away from his territory then.

Amhuluk may have as well stayed in Oregon and in Thailand sometime in the past, which how these two regions have legends described different dragon-like entities had impacts on the people there. In modern times, Amhuluk was monitored under the Manpupuner Rock Formations with the constructuion of the Outpost 66 since 2016. Three years later he was awakened by Monster Zero and breached the compromised Outpost. With the interference of the Orca Signal, he was distracted from joining the fellow Titans to Boston, and later turned to searching for an inhabitable ground. As he wandered to the Amazon Rainforest, he battled Behemoth, a Titan in the area, and almost outcompeted him post 2019 Monster Zero Incident. There he was warned by the Alpha Titan in patrol, Godzilla and retreated to the forest’s deep. In the next three decades he was not been seen, which Monarch suggests he may go for a short hibernation under the sands and rocks.

He reminds of Biollante more often as he's a Kaiju with plant-like matter. Kinda gives me a MV equivalent.
