I left behind my first 70 years, so I am duly retired with plenty of time to make fractals, play some golf, and go to the doctor with a frequency much higher than the one I would like.
I love music, especially jazz, classical and tango. Yes, some rock and pop also, but up to there!
Of course I am a sick reader especially of science fiction books, most of which I read in my Kindle.
I am here to enjoy sharing my works with you and taking advantage of you shared beauties as well. No "buy-my-prints" idea whatsoever, though I don't criticize those who do so in their own right.

It looks that Dell did have the spare parts handy and sent the technical service yesterday.
As I suspected, the failed item was the power supply, so the repair took just a few minutes.
In the meantime, I learned in Ubuntu a couple of things that may be of use for someone else.
1. MB3D runs under Wine. I didn't stumbled into any major problem to use it, except the snail speed provided by the old laptop.
2. J-Wildfire also runs very well under Ubuntu.

Some of you may find useful to have this tool which I use to pick colors from any image appearing in my monitor to transfer into my fractals.
You can make a nice collection of a pretty limited palette of 6 colors.

Out on vacation

I will be out of town for the next six weeks, visiting my son and daughters who live in the U.S.A. as a miserable excuse to actually visit my grandchildren. :DI will not have my laptop and will carry only my iPad so I will not be very active except for answering as many of your comments as possible.I will miss the daily review of your deviations and I will miss fractaling, but you can't have it all.See you in June again. :wave:
