I have found a new way of working and I am feeling really inspired. We have a great tutor at tafe and the assignments he is giving us allow us all to work in our own style. Also in this group we have a lot of people doing exciting stuff. Some of the group are working with resin a highly toxic substance but really interesting also. There is a lot of mixed media going on and the group are all interested in each others work.  So it is very inspiring. I feel like I have found my MOJO and for the moment I am basking in the light of fulfilment in my art practice. hope it continues! Anyway this new painting 'Deep In The Green"' is one I am proud ...

Doesn't that sound nice..... liquid light,almost poetical. It is actually a photographic process we are using in our photgraphy class at tafe. It comes in a bottle and you have to warm it in water for about 10-15 mins as it solidifies when cold. Then you can paint almost any surface to make it light sensitive(like photo paper).  I used sandpaper,stonehenge paper and some pieces of silk. The item you use needs to have some tooth so the liquid light will adhere. Some people tried canvases but it just slid right off them. Back to tafe this week and having to get in the swing of actually having to produce some work. I am only doing 3 subjects so it shouldn't be too hard. The work I have added here is from my own studio stuff and from a workshop I did up at Bellingen. I like the new Jack Johnson cd so far, haven't given it a second whirl yet but so far its good. Started going to the gym with a friend from tafe and have had some fun on the machines. They are so comical. i don't mind going its alright really.
