I did this portrait for my vectors class. Took 12 long hours. I like it though....except the hand. How am I supposed to draw your hairy hand without it looking like wolf man?? Why Robin?? I'm just a novice D: It's my first time doing a vector portrait. So. I tried. There's almost 400 paths in the image.

Vectors aren't easy. And they're time consuming. A simple one can take me up to eight hours. I spent four hours on one and that was the quickest I'd ever done and I blew off some detail in favor of saving time. I think this is great. I love how the eyes came out. You basically captured the essence and I think that's the point. For more detail, I make flat base layers and add highlights and shadows with the selection tools and hue/saturation functions.
