'Great,' You furrowed your brow in utter exasperation, glaring angrily at the principal's desk, barely paying any attention to what he was saying.
'This is just what I needed... Yep.' You crossed your arms and leaned back into the wooden "Discipline Chair", rolling your eyes.

"I'm going to let this slide for today, Miss (Y/N). But only because you're new to this school, and we want you to have a pleasant learning experience while here. But you had better straighten up, and I expect that you won't let this happen again, correct?" He leaned forward in his chair, tipping his glasses down, waiting expectantly for your reply.

"...Yeah, sure... Of course, Mr. Principal, sir."

"Yes," He spun around in his chair, his back now facing you. "But just to make sure there aren't any 'misunderstandings', I will be sending a note home with you." This caught your attention. "Do show this to your parents, alright?"
You watched in worry as he scribbled on a pink slip of paper, folded it, and placed it in an envelope. He handed it out to you. "Here you are."

You reluctantly reached out and took it, shaking a little.

"You'd best be on your way now, little lady." He stood, leading you to his office door. He opened it for you, allowing you to finally leave what you could only describe as a Hellhole of Humiliation for a school... and this was just the first day.

You stepped out wordless, and he closed the door behind you. Your arms dropped to your sides, as you sighed once again in frustration.
'Gee, I hope Mom's in a good mood today...'
You turned your head on your way out of what you guessed what the waiting room, just outside of the principal's office, and spotted, who else, Double D.
He stood up, now walking over to you, happily carrying your books.

"What are you still doing here?" You furrowed your brow in confusion. "And why do you have my stuff?"

"Well, I noticed you were having a pretty rough day today, I'm awfully sorry," He gave a half-hearted chuckle, seeming a little tense. "I saw you being called to the principal's office, and I got a bit worried. Everything alright?"

You just stared, bewildered. 'You? Worry about me? You angel...~
Ugh, wait a minute, get ahold of yourself...' You managed to regain your firm persona. "You didn't answer my question. Er, my other question."

"Oh," He held up your possessions. "I thought maybe... I-I could maybe walk you home? Perhaps?"

You blushed at his offer, he was so sweet. "Um... I don't know if I-"

"W-Well, if it's too much trouble..."

"Oh, no!" You cut him off with a nervous laugh of your own. That sounded so desperate. "That'll be fine. I'm not in a hurry or anything..." You thought of what was awaiting you at home, what with the principal's note and all. You winced, but held your smile.

"Splendid! I-I mean... That's cool...?" He stepped forward, and opened the door for you. You smiled in thanks, and stepped out into the hallway.
You looked across to the row of lockers, where you saw a very familiar face.
The boy was leaning rather casually against said lockers, with his hands in his pockets. You began backing up.

"(Y/N)? What's the matter?" Eddward stepped out from the door, following your gaze. "Oh, why greetings, Rolf!" He looked in your direction.
"You took a rather lengthy break from class today. I didn't see you for the rest of the period! Whatever happened?"

He said nothing, but his face turned a few shades redder.

"Come to think of it, you weren't there for the rest of class either, (Y/N)...
I wonder if-"

You panicked, grabbing Double D by the arm and cutting him off.
"Yep, weird, huh? Well, we'd better get going... Don't want to be late for dinner. S-See ya, Rolf." You dragged him off down the hall, heading for the exit.
