"Joke's on you, love. See, I just poached the best damned catch in all the natural world- and her name is Radhi bloomin' Carcharodon."

Radhi leaned close to nuzzle him, then let out a sigh. "You know, you're halfway charming when you want to be, Buck."

"So I guess you could say I stole your heart?"

"Urgh, I take it back. Is it too late to undo the ceremony?"

Buck nuzzled her back, and felt her smile against him. "Ha. You knew what you were signing up for."

-Buck and Radhi returned to her herd in the Marengeti to be wed. Radhi insisted Buck first obtain a blessing from her parents. Radhi's parents took one look at the stammering, nervous stallion, and dramatically declared that to properly earn Radhi's hoof, Buck would have to survive a number of traditional rites of passage, including catching a crocodile bare-hoofed, sitting atop a rocky outcropping until he received a vision from the ancient spirits, and defeating Radhi's grandmother in a wrestling match. Buck fiercely rises to each challenge, determined to prove himself as a good enough stallion for Radhi....

In the end, when he's panting, having barely scraped out a defeat against Radhi's gram-gram (that mare is jacked af), the zebras revealed that they made the whole thing up, partly as a means of family bonding, but mostly as a means of entertainment. Silly Buck, doesn't he know he's had their blessing all along? Eh, Radhi gave him a smooch for his troubles.

-Buck was surprised when, before the wedding, the herd members painted him with ceremonial zebra stripes (made with white river clay) to officially welcome him into their family.....He was told this was a great honor, but he's still not sure if the zebras were fucking with him or not. Radhi was snickering when she assured him they weren't....whatever, Buck thought he looked pretty dashing (and Radhi did too).
