Lol thank you. While not really an au for anything it’s more of a side story for a original story I’m working on called The Magic Effect since I’ve been working on a lot of world building.
Hi, while the apocalypse scenario is not really what's happening, it is a fun scenario you came up with. Estelar the Eclectic is just your average hermit in a pillow fort and the dimension she's in is too far away from Eldritch Overlord territory. ^ ^
if you want to know more/context I can recommend some lore pieces I made for both the Eldritch Society and Estelar as well:
This doesn’t just concern artist who sell commissions and then have another job, this concerns artist that work at companies like Disney, Dreamworks, and other known art studios who have been known to underpay and overwork artist. If big companies get their hands on this AI, big companies would have more of an excuse to underpay and potentially fire their workers. In this economy these days you almost haft to have two jobs just to pay bills, essentials or even rent especially if you’re living alone or providing for a family. And if an artist can make a second job about of their art to help pay for stuff like that then cool. AI “art” would just be replacing artist and for some of them who make money out of their art, they would end up be losing a job.
If you’re referring to Deviantart’s AI generator, yes it does, the checkmark that stops the AI from stealing only stops third party AI generators not Deviantart’s. AI art generators are trained on a dataset of images, the tech is literally built on the work of other artist without permission. Also I don’t know where this comparison to “adopts is similar to AI” came from, adopts is a very different discussion than the AI. The only thing I can say about that is while the prices can be extreme like $1500, that is the business owners of the adopts decision to price their work. However at least the artist is actually drawing the adopts.
