You know what choice should be on there? Doodleist. I doodle snippits of this and that all the time! But I suppose that counts as a hobbyist. I am Marie - an incredibly imaginative, hyper, and strange person. Despite having a good number of interesting talents like wood working, I choose to spend the majority of my time daydreaming. They always told me that once you grew up and hit college you wouldn't do that as much anymore. Nope. I guess it's just ingrained in some people.
On that note, I hate college. It's pretty crappy and boring and a waste of money in my opinion. I have alot of opinions, like most people. Oh and I draw alot, also like most people (at least on this site).
I'm a big gamer though I prefer to play games for their story and thus am not a big fan of online shooters like Call of Duty and such. I also enjoy a good number of different anime. Combined, these two areas create the basis for my woodwork as I make props from both. I'm still a novice, I suppose, but a very talented one at that. So far I have made two keyblades from Kingdom Hearts with two more partially complete.
I can't think of anything else to add at the moment so I guess I'll end this here.

(The) Perfection is a Lie

One of the best things about art is that it doesn't have to be perfect and, in a way, those imperfections actually make the piece perfect. To me, art is the stories we want to tell, the feelings we want others to experience. The idea of perfection is merely a hindrance to that goal. No one will ever be perfect. Even the most talented artist may look at one of their pieces and think about adding some minor detail. The point is that we, as artists, grow and through that growth our ideas of perfection change. Look at this. I haven't written a journal entry in FOREVER. My profile needs some love. And better pictures -which I do have! I just haven't uploaded them yet. But I am considering it. Yo, peoples! Okay so we (me and Sarah) have apparently came up with an awesome comic idea and after many halirious events and much much pondering on hair styles, I finally have seemed to get a good set of ideas to start and most of my friends planned out.
