From the song Beautiful Crime by Tamer! It came up on my Spotify recommended a week ago and I instantly fell in love. The lyrics are such current arc vibes I couldn't rest until I made this, and it was only after I finished everything and went searching for a link did I find out that this was the song used in the Netflix Daredevil trailer lol. So I guess I have heard it before? Maybe? A really long time ago? I don't even remember how I got into Daredevil, I just remember watching the first season and liking it. But then I never continued past that so.

Anyway the song was great so I went and looked at what other songs Tamer has made and it's just that one and one other...this keeps happening to me.

I had this whole comic lined and then realized I didn't like the composition so I completely redrew it. The paneling stayed the same, but the drawings changed. But I think this composition works a lot better and is much more visually interesting. The original just had them kind of standing there, and after I dropped it for the night to fix some anatomy errors I realized I wanted to ditch the whole thing. So I basically knocked this out in one sitting during a stream yesterday. I'm glad I went the extra mile since I like how the panels are filled, though my wrist not so much.

I'm thinking of doing another lyric comic in a similar style to this (so more like a comic and less like an "illustrations with words" like the other one) for Jenny of Oldstones by Florence, so this was also a test run of sorts. We'll see if I can muster up the nerve, since it's not an especially long song but it would still be several pages' worth. I would also have to figure out some of the illustrations per panel as well as composition, in a longer form than this. So we'll see.

That's all I have for now. Noragami continues to wreck me on a monthly basis.
